Learning objectives/outcomes: NLS Y1
T1, W4: To discriminate and segment all three phonemes in CVC words; T2, W3: to segment clusters in to phonemes for spelling; T3, W1: the common spelling patterns for each of the long vowel phonemes: ee, ai, ie, oa, oo; W5: to recognise words by common spelling patterns. NC English KS1
Writing: Spelling 4b: use their knowledge of sound-symbol relationship and phonological patterns; 4c: recognise and use simple spelling patterns.
