What is Spark Island Online?

It's an island of learning: Developed with teachers for teachers, Spark Island Online is a teaching resource that allows you to use interactive activities for pupils to practise and reinforce core skills in English, Maths, Science and ICT, for Early Years, Keys Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

It's an island of fun: Spark Island's unique characters and stories capture pupils' imaginations. They can explore a virtual world designed to inspire creative classwork and to form a basis for inventive non-computer based group work.

It's more than a CD-ROM: With new interactive learning activities, information and teaching resources added each term, ever-expanding Spark Island Online will quickly become one of the most cost-effective ways of incorporating ICT into your teaching.

Subscription - What do I get?

  1. Access for an unlimited number of teachers and pupils within each individual subscribed school for a calendar year. With most systems, you only need enter your username and password once per computer.

Curriculum Online Approved

Spark Island is fully approved by Curriculum Online and can be purchased with E-Learning Credits (England only).

Prices for more than one school buying together
(e.g. LEAs, Broadband consortia):

When more than one school is involved, we charge by the total number of pupils accessing the service, rather than by number of schools.

Although training is not necessary to use Spark Island Online, we do recommend that we run a number of familiarisation workshops. These together with set-up arrangements to activate the subscription and get schools using the service are negotiable on a case-by-case basis.

LEA partnership costs
