England: NNS Y1: Calculations: Understanding addition 24,28: Begin to recognise that addition can be done in any order. Begin to use the + and = signs to record mental calculations in a number sentence, and recognise the use of symbols to stand for an unknown number.
Y1: Rapid recall of addition facts 30: Know by heart all pairs of numbers with a total of 10 (e.g 3+7)
NC - KS1 Mental methods c) Know addition and subtraction facts to 10; Know doubles of numbers to 10.
